  • The annual subscription is $20 p.a for a single / $35 p.a for a couple

  • No. Members have varying knowledge and backgrounds and all are welcome to explore the subject further or learn from scratch.

  • Yes, but we strongly encourage members to attend Interest Group(s) to gain the full value of the membership experience and make new friendships.

  • Yes, but we strongly encourage members to attend Interest Group(s) to gain the full value of the membership experience and make new friendships.

  • There is generally no ‘homework’ however, groups operate differently - some invite speakers, watch videos, use their own members to present, play games or music, or go on visits. However, exploration and discussion of the subject is one of the joys of belonging regardless of how the group operates. We also appreciate good listeners!

  • Like all community organisations there is opportunity to volunteer for the Committee, or to contribute in some other way to make the meetings a success, e.g. operate audio visual equipment, set up the hall. If you have any technology or other particular skills, let the President know.

  • The Committee makes decisions bearing in mind the current situation and the vulnerability of our members. Decisions are notified in the newsletter, or via email to members.

  • Selection of venues for Interest Groups is done with accessibility in mind. Sometimes, buses are used which may pose some difficulties. If you wish to attend an Interest Group and want to know about accessibility, please phone the Convenor.

  • Yes, we encourage any member to start new Interest Groups. They are the heart and soul of our organisation. Present your ideas to the Interest Group Coordinator who will help you get it up and running. Approval by the committee is necessary before commencing.
